A Mount Sinai Man Was Killed In A Single-Car Crash In Rocky Point On Thursday Morning
Rocky Point – Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a Mount Sinai man on Thursday morning at approximately 11:20 a.m.

Jeffrey Kitz was operating his 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer southbound on County Road 21, approximately 1 ½ miles south of Rt. 25A, when he lost control of the vehicle.
The vehicle crossed the northbound lane and crashed into the woods. Kitz, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. The investigation is continuing.
