Coach Priore Welcomes 93 Student-Athletes To Stony Brook Campus As Fall Football Camp Opens

Stony Brook – Stony Brook head football coach Chuck Priore welcomed 93 student-athletes to campus on Thursday in preparation for the 2016 preseason camp that gets underway with the first practice on Friday.

The Seawolves, including 16 newcomers, moved onto campus on Thursday, met with various Stony Brook administrators, received equipment and had team and individual meetings with the coaching staff.

Stony Brook will hit the field at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium for the first of 22 preseason practices at 9:30 a.m. on Friday. Practice will be held once a day until next Wednesday when the team will hold a two-a-day that includes an afternoon scrimmage. Scrimmages are also scheduled for Monday, August 15 and Saturday, August 20.

The Seawolves begin camp this Thursday and host North Dakota to open the season on Thursday, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. in Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium.
