Medical Emergency Suspected In Death Of Tractor Trailer Driver After Crash In Yaphank
Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a crash in Yaphank during which a man may have suffered a medical emergency and died on Tuesday afternoon.
The 46-year-old man was driving a 1995 tractor trailer westbound when he crashed into a stone landscaping wall, located at 53 Zorn Boulevard at approximately 1:55 p.m.
The driver, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where he was pronounced dead.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing.
