Center Moriches Man Airlifted To Stony Brook University Hospital After Backyard Accident
Center Moriches – Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are investigating a crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Center Moriches this morning.
Richard Belanger was attempting to connect a boat trailer to a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Anthony Pagan, when Belanger was struck at 9:55 a.m. in the backyard of the home on Union Ave.
Belanger, 72, of Center Moriches, was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries. Pagan, 84, also of Center Moriches, was not injured. The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
