Floyd High School Students Participate In “Meet the Leaders” Program With Senator Croci
Mastic Beach – William Floyd High School students from the Youth & Government program recently had the opportunity to participate in a special Veterans Day edition of Altice Connects’ signature public affairs program, “Meet the Leaders at School,” focused on veterans and leadership.
New York State Senator Tom Croci, a Commander in the United States Navy and war veteran, along with Joan Furey, RN, a Second Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps during the Vietnam War, were the featured panelists in a discussion hosted by Pat Halpin. Students had the opportunity to ask questions about service, leadership and their experiences in the military.
