Upton – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Brookhaven Town and the Tri-State area for Thursday afternoon, into Thursday evening. Thunderstorms moving thro

ugh the area may produce damaging isolated wind gusts.
The high temperatures are expected to remain in the area through Friday. Occasional showers and thunderstorms on Friday night and on Saturday will bring more seasonable temperatures in the low-to-mid 80’s.

This Afternoon A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 88. South wind around 11 mph.
Tonight A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before midnight. Patchy fog after midnight. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Friday Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Heat index values as high as 96. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon.
Friday Night A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 8pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. Southeast wind 3 to 6 mph.
Saturday A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83. South wind 7 to 9 mph.
