Oakdale Man, 20, Facing Charges In Alleged Patchogue Bank Robbery Case From Earlier This Month

Patchogue – On Thursday, July 7th at approximately 8:30 a.m., a Chase Bank on Route 112 in Patchogue was robbed.

Late Tuesday night, Suffolk County Police Department Major Case Unit detectives announced they were charging Jonathan Forberg, 20, of Oakdale, with the crime.

According to police, Forberg is alleged to have walked into the bank branch located at 472 Route 112, handing a bank teller a note demanding cash, and then fleeing westbound on Harris Street.

At the time, the suspect was described as a thin white male in his 20’s, with short brown hair, a beard, wearing a Penn State pullover, blue jeans, an Oakley baseball cap and sunglasses.

Mr. Forberg was scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday in First District Court in Central Islip.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
