Carlos Falcón Appointed To Assistant Principal Position At Longwood Middle School

Middle Island – At the September 8, 2016 meeting, the Board of Education appointed Carlos Falcón as the new assistant principal at Longwood Middle School, effective October 1, 2016. Mr. Falcón replaces Dr. Tracy Adams who was recently appointed as Longwood Middle School principal.

Since 2009, Mr. Falcón has served Longwood High School as a Spanish teacher, as well as a Late Afternoon Program (L.A.P.) teacher. Throughout his tenure at the high school, he served as Class of 2018 advisor, Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) coach, athletic academic supervisor and served on the high school’s Technology Committee and Response To Intervention Academic Committee. Prior to his tenure at Longwood, he taught Spanish at William Floyd High School.

It is a privilege and an honor to serve the Longwood community in an administrative capacity,” said Mr. Falcón. “I am looking forward to working alongside the teachers, administrators, and staff to continue to build on what Longwood has accomplished for many years; educate children to their fullest potential.

Mr. Falcón received his bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University at Albany, his master’s degree in Teaching from Stony Brook University and earned his school building leader certification from St. John’s University.
