Mount Sinai Man Killed In Motorcycle Accident On Friday Night

Mount Sinai – Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist in Mount Sinai on Friday night.

Joseph LeDeoux was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle east on North Country Road, approximately 500 feet east of Grassland Circle, when he apparently lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into a telephone pole on September 16 at 11:10 p.m.

LeDeoux, 63, of  Pipe Stave Hollow Road, Mount Sinai, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
